POINT PLEASANT BEACH – Police on Friday charged a Belmar resident in connection with a local business break-in from June 21.

Albert Tilton, 63, was charged with burglary and theft for breaking into the Beach Diner on Arnold Avenue and stealing cash from the register.

Brick Township and Belmar police departments assisted in the investigation.
