BRICK — Police are investigating after someone damaged a pole supporting a Flock license plate-reading camera on Drum Point Road, authorities said.
The vandalism occurred during the early morning hours of July 8 near 181 Drum Point Road, according to Brick Township police Lt. Erik Olsen.
The metal pole appeared to have been cut with a saw blade. Employees arriving for work at a nearby Exxon gas station discovered the damage and contacted police dispatch.
Officers and detectives responded to the scene, gathered evidence and began investigating. The damaged camera equipment was removed and will remain out of service until repairs can be completed.
Olsen told Jersey Shore Online that detectives are pursuing all available leads. The investigation remains active.
