
BRICK — An 18-year-old Brick Township student killed in an early-morning crash is being remembered as a caring young man with an adventurous spirit.
Family members identified the victim as Joshua Guarino, a student at Brick Memorial High School.
Guarino was driving on Squankum Allenwood Road in Wall Township shortly before 5:30 a.m. Thursday, August 13 when his vehicle left the roadway, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wall Township police said the crash remains under investigation.
Guarino’s cousins, Gabrielle and Gianna Masucci, organized a GoFundMe campaign to help his family cover funeral and burial expenses.
They described Guarino as bright, compassionate and full of life. His smile, kindness and devotion to his loved ones will remain part of his legacy, they said.
The family said his sudden death has devastated relatives, friends and the wider community.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Guarino’s life from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 21, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Route 88 in Brick. The gathering will offer the community an opportunity to honor his memory and cherish the time shared with him.
