WALL TOWNSHIP — An 18-year-old Brick resident was killed Thursday morning after his vehicle left Squankum Allenwood Road and crashed into a wooded area, police said.
Wall Township emergency crews responded to the westbound side of the roadway at approximately 5:36 a.m. Aug. 13 following a report of a single-vehicle crash.
Responders found a heavily damaged gray 2006 Honda Civic in the woods. The driver, who was the vehicle’s only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are withholding the teenager’s identity until his family has been notified.
The South Wall and Glendola fire departments, Monmouth County EMS, Hackensack paramedics and the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted at the scene.
Wall Township Police Lt. Andrew Baldino and Patrolman Joshua Wheeler are investigating the crash.
