
BAYVILLE — An overnight vehicle fire was quickly brought under control early Tuesday thanks to the rapid response of the Bayville Volunteer Fire Company #1.
Firefighters were dispatched around 12:30 a.m. to Johnson’s Pit after reports of a vehicle engulfed in flames. Upon arrival, crews found the vehicle heavily involved and immediately deployed a hose line to knock down the fire.
Multiple units responded to the scene, including command staff, an engine company, a rescue unit and brush trucks. Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the blaze without it spreading further.
Units responding included Chief 1700, Assistant Chief 1710, Rescue 1713, Engine 1741, Brush 1739, and Brush 1729.
No injuries were reported, and the incident was resolved without additional complications. Fire officials credited the quick actions of volunteer responders for preventing further damage.
Officials also thanked residents for their continued support and urged the public to promptly report emergencies to ensure a swift response.
