BERKELEY – Officers are mourning one of their own, as retired Patrolman George Waugh has passed away.
Waugh retired in 2008. According to the township, he was an original member of the department’s K-9 unit and later served as a traffic safety officer.
“Ptl. Waugh was known for his personable demeanor and his dedication to our residents, many of whom still ask about him in the years since his retirement,” Mayor Carmen Amato said. “Ptl. Waugh was a great person and a great officer and will be dearly missed. Please keep his family in your prayers.”
