TOMS RIVER – The Goddard School of Route 70 will be sponsoring a team that will be walking at a 5K walk/run in Long Branch May 19 to support those in need of organ transplants.
Jayla, a student at the school, was born with chronic kidney disease and will eventually need a transplant. The school raised $1000 for this walk
“Supporting Organ Donations is close to our hearts because a former teacher at Goddard suddenly passed away and donated over 50 percent of her body to donor recipients,” Jessica Montalbano, the operational director of the school, said.
