TOMS RIVER – West Dover Elementary School is asking the community to help make a difference by donating gently worn, used, or new shoes as part of a fundraising shoe drive that runs through December 15.
Donations can be dropped off at Care Temp HVAC, located at 891 Route 37 West, Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., or every Tuesday from 3:15 to 3:45 p.m. at West Dover Elementary School.
All types of footwear are accepted — including boots, sandals, sneakers, heels, flip-flops, slippers, and cleats. Collected shoes will help support the school’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and will also be reused or repurposed by people in need through international microenterprise programs.
Organizers encourage residents to spread the word and ask friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to participate.
