TOMS RIVER – A three-month, multi-agency investigation into drug distribution in Ocean County has led to the arrests of two men accused of selling large quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine, authorities said.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that investigators identified Joseph Broxmeyer, 58, of Jackson, and Tariki Foster, 40, of Manchester, as distributors of narcotics in the region. Detectives said the pair sold roughly 300 grams of cocaine and 12 ounces of methamphetamine across Ocean County.

On September 19, law enforcement conducted a motor vehicle stop in Toms River, taking Broxmeyer into custody without incident. Search warrants were then executed at locations in Brick, Toms River, and Jackson, resulting in the seizure of cocaine, methamphetamine, MDMA, paraphernalia, and $5,168 in cash. Foster was arrested at the Toms River residence.

Broxmeyer was charged with multiple drug distribution and possession offenses and later released under New Jersey Bail Reform. Foster faces similar charges, including possession of MDMA and financial facilitation, and remains in custody pending trial.

The investigation involved the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, DEA HIDTA Group 5, FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and multiple local police departments.

All charges are accusations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
