TOMS RIVER – The Toms River Police Department is warning residents of a recent package theft scheme.

According to police, there are individuals dressing in Amazon vests approaching homes and stealing delivered packages.

“Several agencies, including ours, are investigating thefts of packages left by Amazon/FedEx/UPS drivers,” the police department said.

Most of the thefts involve iPhone deliveries, police said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Joseph Mastronardy at 732-349-0150, ext. 1346.
