TOMS RIVER – Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer has announced the promotion of Detective Andrew Harnett to Sergeant.
Harnett began his law enforcement career in 2002 with the Seaside Park Police Department. A year later, he moved to the North Hanover Township Police Department before joining the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office in 2017.
During his career with the prosecutor’s office, Harnett has worked in several units, including the Grand Jury Squad, Trial Investigation Squad, Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force and the Vehicular Homicide Squad. He is currently assigned to the Administration Squad.
Billhimer offered congratulations on the promotion, recognizing Harnett’s years of service in law enforcement.
