LAKEWOOD — A 33-year-old Toms River man has died from injuries he sustained in a weekend motorcycle crash, authorities said.
Anthony Ferrentino was riding a 2021 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT when he was thrown from the motorcycle in a collision on Shorrock Street near Four Seasons Boulevard shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday, Lakewood police said.
Captain Gregory Staffordsmith said Ferrentino was taken to Ocean Medical Center in Brick, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police said Ferrentino was traveling south on Shorrock Street when a Dodge Hornet, driven by a 56-year-old Lakewood woman, was making a left turn. Two witnesses told officers the motorcycle went through a red light before the crash.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
