Man Dies Following Toms River Shooting

  TOMS RIVER – The victim of a recent shooting in Toms River has passed away due to his injuries.

  According to police, the victim Javon Cutler, 19, of Bayville, was leaving the Toms River Apartments with two friends on the night of October 11 when the shooting happened. An unknown individual had opened fire on their vehicle and Cutler was sitting in the rear passenger seat when he was struck in the head. 

  Afterwards, the driver immediately drove to Community Medical Center and later Cutler was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center.

  Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Cutler passed away from his injuries around 7 p.m. on October 14 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. 

  Prosecutor Billhimer stated that the investigation is still ongoing and if anyone has information to contact the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-929-2027.
