LAVALLETTE – Authorities Thursday morning continue to investigate a fire that broke out around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in a beachfront property. Four buildings were affected by the fire.
Crews from neighboring municipalities battled the blaze for three hours to bring it under control, East Dover Fire Co., located on Fischer Boulevard in Toms River, reported in a Thursday morning social media post.
That company, along with Station 44 Seaside Heights, Station 45 Seaside Park, Station 69 Lavallette, and Station 27 Ocean Beach and Point Pleasant Fire for the Initial FAST, responded to the scene. Backup was needed, so even more crews came from other departments.
More details should be released once the investigation is completed.
