TOMS RIVER — The annual Jingle Bells Run will bring holiday spirit — and hundreds of runners — back to downtown Toms River on December 7 as the Toms River Police Foundation hosts the 26th edition of the community race.
This year’s event features three races: a Kiddie Dash at 2:45 p.m., a one-mile fun run and walk at 3 p.m., and the 5K at 3:30 p.m. The course will once again wind through downtown streets and nearby neighborhoods on a mostly flat route.
Proceeds from the race will support scholarships for local high school students and benefit the foundation’s 2025 spotlight charity, The Lucky Fin Project, a nonprofit that raises awareness and celebrates children and adults born with limb differences.
Organizers encourage families, friends and community members to come out, participate and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
