Due to unfavorable weather predictions, tonight’s kite night is rescheduled for Thursday, September 2, 2021. We hope to see everyone next week!

ORTLEY BEACH – It’s hot out today but by early this evening it should be ideal to go fly a kite so grab a beach chair or blanket, and an ice cream cone and watch some large-scale kites on the ocean beach.

This will be the last kite night event of the summer. The festivities are coordinated by the Friends of Ortley Beach and funded by Dakan Homes. Kite Night will start at 5:30 and will conclude at 8 p.m. at the Third Avenue Beach, Ortley Beach.

The event also serves as a one stop shop for everything “Friends of Ortley Beach!” Members are asking that you stop by their club table which offers the opportunity of renewing your membership and purchasing a mini coffee table book about the history and environment of Ortley Beach.

Organization T-shirts are also available and there will be some handmade, coastal themed ornaments available that were made by members of the group.
