FORKED RIVER – When a Forked River resident didn’t get mail for two days, she grew suspicious. She finally contacted the local post office, and was told her mail delivery had been put on hold for a week. She discovered the request had been made electronically by someone other than herself, and that the mail would be picked up at the end of the week.

Lacey Township Police reported that when the woman went to get her mail, she found a credit card in her husband’s name that was fraudulently applied for by an unknown suspect.

The woman reported the incident to police June 11.
