LANOKA HARBOR – Police received an urgent call this morning: a woman was in labor. Could they please help.

Lacey Township Police received the call around 3:30 a.m. Between them receiving the call and arriving at the unidentified address, the woman had given birth to her baby boy.

Police tended both mother and child before being taken to a local hospital by Lanoka Harbor First Aid and Medics.

According to officials, despite the seemingly unintended home birth, the new mom and baby are doing well.
