Woman Airlifted To Hospital After Attempt To Stop Dog Fight

LACEY – A 63-year-old woman was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune after sustaining multiple dog bites Thursday.

Officers Michael Verwey, Frederick Anderson and Noah Schaffer responded to a Maxim Drive home at 11:21 a.m. March 14. The woman, trying to separate two family-owned dogs—a boxer and pit bull—brawling. She suffered from multiple lacerations and bites to both hands.

She was flown to the hospital due the extent of her injuries, police said.

Police did not release information on what happened to the dogs.
