LACEY – A truck slid out of its lane and flipped over another truck in the oncoming lane, police said.
According to a police report, the crash happened just after 6 a.m. One truck was travelling south on Route 539 when it left its lane and slid sideways into the second truck, which was heading north. The first truck caught the front bumper of the other truck, flipped over, and came to rest against a tree.
The driver of the first truck, a 23-year-old male, sustained injuries to his chest and face, police said. He was transported by ambulance to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
The other driver, a 40-year-old male, was not injured. He pulled off to the side of the road.
