Three Suffer Injuries In Route 72 Crash

STAFFORD – A motor vehicle accident sends three people to the hospital and a 17-year-old driver is hit with a careless driving summons.

Stafford Township Police said the August 21 crash took place on Route 72 near the intersection of Hull Road shortly after 12 noon.

According to police, the 17-year-old Hillsborough resident was traveling east on Route 72 when her Toyota crashed into a Hyundai waiting to make a turn into a plaza driveway. 53-years old Frank Beck of Maple Shade was in the Hyundai.

Beck was taken to Atlantic City Medical Center for his injuries and was pending release. His passenger was sent to Southern Ocean Medical Center and was treated and released.

The 17-year old was treated and released at Southern Ocean Medical Center and was given a Careless Driving summons, pending an appearance in the Stafford Municipal Court. 

Police said Sgt J Schweigart, MPO C. Smith, MPO J. Luna, Stafford Fire Department, Stafford EMS and Barnegat EMS all assisted at the scene.
