STAFFORD – A Little Egg Harbor man was seriously hurt after his Jeep overturned in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of McKinley Avenue and General Grier Boulevard on December 3, police said.

Stafford Township Police reported that a 2010 Dodge Journey driven by Jennifer Wilchak, 32, of Manahawkin, was heading east on McKinley Avenue when she attempted a left turn and crossed into the path of a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep, operated by 67-year-old Fred Olita, was struck and rolled over in the middle of the intersection, causing extensive damage.

Olita suffered severe injuries and was taken to the Atlantic City Trauma Center for treatment, according to police. Traffic in the area was redirected for roughly three hours while officers investigated and crews cleared the scene.

Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Traffic Safety Officer DeMarco at 609-597-1189, ext. 8456.
