Police Want Info On Jeep Involved In Hit-and-run

BARNEGAT – Barnegat Township Police are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run that occurred around 6 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Wawa on West Bay Avenue.

From photos obtained from this incident, police believe the vehicle in question is a black Jeep Wrangler so a soft top and full-frame doors, 1997-2006 TJ model. The Jeep appears to have a diamond plate around the driver’s front wheel well, and black wheels without fender flares.

Witnesses are asked to contact the Barnegat Township Police Department at 609-698-5000 and ask for Patrolman Ebert.
