Police Catch Man With About 100 Bags Of Heroin

  LACEY – Police were called to perform a well-being check of a man who the caller said was using heroin, and found about 100 bags of the drug on him.

  The incident happened at around 8 p.m. on March 9. Officers from Lacey Township and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department searched the wooded area near the Oyster Creek Generating Station without locating the subject. He was later spotted in a Route 9 parking lot.

  Corey Heulitt attempted to flee on foot but was caught. He had nearly 100 bags of heroin and some syringes on his person. He was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, and Resisting Arrest.
