
LACEY – A Waretown woman was killed after being struck by a pickup truck on Route 9, police said.
The crash happened on August 11 at around 10:24 p.m. near Taylor Lane. According to Lacey Township police, a red 2002 Toyota Tundra driven by 61-year-old Kevin Kazmierski of Forked River, was traveling north when it struck 47-year-old Alycia Mullin as she crossed the roadway.
Mullin suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Community Medical Center, where she died, authorities said.
Route 9 was closed between Taylor Lane and Lakeside Drive South during the investigation but has since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation by Patrolman Daniel Primavera of the department’s Fatal Accident Support Team.
