FORKED RIVER – A Forked River man has been sentenced to seven years in state prison for distributing crystal meth, announced Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.

On Dec. 20, 54-year old Antonio Giudice pled guilty to Possession with the Intent to Distribute More Than One Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces of Crystal Methamphetamine.

Giudice was discovered as the result of a joint investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force and the Toms River Township Police Department Emergency Services Unit.

On July 29, 2019, law enforcement executed a no-knock search warrant on a Toms River motel room and seized over one-half ounce of crystal methamphetamine, a stun gun disguised as a flashlight and approximately $3,500 in cash. A subsequent motor vehicle stop of a vehicle that Giudice was driving yielded more crystal methamphetamine. Giudice was placed under arrest and transported to the Ocean County Jail.

Giudice was also sentenced to three years as a result to a separate plea of guilty to a Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purposes, stemming from a June 2019 incident. On June 28, 2019, during a physical altercation at a Toms River convenience store, Giudice struck another individual in the face with the stun gun and fled the area.
