ABERDEEN – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Route 35 in Aberdeen last week, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
At around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 19, 84-year old Daniel Harning of Parlin was driving a 2016 Kia Cadenza southbound on Route 35 approaching Cliffwood Avenue when his vehicle collided with a pedestrian, 35-year old Christine Bowles of Keansburg.
Bowles was transported to Bayshore Hospital where she was pronounced deceased at 7:02 p.m.
Harning and his passenger were not injured during the incident.
Police continue to investigate the crash but no motor vehicle summonses have been issued.
