Motorcyclist Suffers Minor Injuries After Being Hit By A Car

  BARNEGAT – A motorcyclist sustained minor injuries after being stuck by a car near the northbound Garden State Parkway entrance ramp on March 21, according to police.

  The motorcyclist, a 63-year-old man driving a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, was traveling west on West Bay Avenue and drove through the green light at the northbound Garden State Parkway entrance, Captain Jason Carroll told the media.

  A 47-year-old woman driving a 2015 Honda Civic was heading east in the turn lane to enter the northbound Garden State Parkway entrance ramp. According to Carroll, the woman turned in front of the motorcycle resulting in the collision.

  Both the motorcyclist and a passenger in the Honda sustained minor injuries and were taken to Southern Ocean Medical Center.

  According to police, the driver of the Honda was issued a summons for failure to yield.
