Month Long Probe Yields Two Arrests On Drug Charges

STAFFORD – A one-month investigation between the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Stafford police yielded two arrests of men charged with distributing marijuana and THC oil.

The joint investigation between the two departments was done to determine the sources of marijuana and marijuana THC oil in the southern Ocean County area.

The investigation led to individuals at two homes, and 2012 Ford Focus being used by one of them to allegedly transport materials. In the morning hours of July 16, investigators executed search warrants at the residences and the car. They seized more than six pounds of marijuana and 100 vials of THC oil.

The following men were arrested and charged:

  • Erik Kretschmer, age 23, 772 Buccaneer Lane, Manahawkin, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana over five pounds with the Intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Additional charges are pending.
  • Garrett Mandrona, age 23, 1070 Barnacle Drive, Manahawkin, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Both men were released on a summons pending a future court date. The prosecutor’s office reminds readers that criminal charges are merely accusations and that these defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
