Brick Police Searching For ShopRite Purse Thief

BRICK – Police are investigating the theft of a woman’s purse that was reportedly stolen while she was shopping near the produce section in the ShopRite on Route 70 on July 17.

Police said the victim’s purse was taken from her shopping cart and her credit cards were later used to make fraudulent purchases. One of these charges was traced to the Target on Route 70, where the victim’s credit card was charged $462.36.

Surveillance video of the Target revealed the suspect as a white male with a goatee, seen wearing a black hat, white long sleeve shirt with two buttons near the neckline, gray sweatpants, and black and white sneakers. The suspect is still unknown but was seen coming and going from the scene in a white SUV, driven by another person.
