
STAFFORD — A Little Egg Harbor man has been charged with shoplifting after allegedly stealing more than $260 in merchandise from a Manahawkin supermarket, police said.
John Vanness, 64, of Center Street, was charged with shoplifting on July 10 after officers responded to ShopRite, located at 297 Route 72 West, around 9:40 a.m., according to the Stafford Township Police Department.
Police said Vanness took approximately $264 worth of items. He was charged on a complaint summons and is scheduled to appear in Ocean County Superior Court.
Officer Nicholas Fabrizzio was the arresting officer.
