SHIP BOTTOM – The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, which serves as the accredited Destination Marketing Organization for the Long Beach Island region, proudly shares the 2022 Travel Pulse report for the best summer destinations in America.

The members of the chamber recognize the importance of a summer vacation, and look forward to welcoming friends and families to this great American travel destination. As the organization begins it 108th summer serving visitors, it has launched its Eat, Drink & Buy LBI Mobile Savings Pass to add value for guests and residents alike.

Popular travel friendly programs include Passport to LBI and Find Your Favorite itineraries which provide several self-guided options to plan your way across the region available on their website visitLBIregion.com

Since 2002, TravelPulse has been publishing industry news and destination information. According to the site, Long Beach Island was chosen because of the lower key mix of laid-back beaches, towns and surfing experiences. The Southern Ocean Chamber suggests taking in historic sites, latest trends in independently owned shops and restaurants as well as live performances, concerts and festivals well into the fall.

Long Beach Island joins the list with other prominent vacations destinations such as Lake Tahoe Nevada, Ocean City Maryland, and Myrtle Beach SC, for the complete list, Every State’s Best Summer Travel Destination | TravelPulse or contact the Southern Ocean County Chamber at 609-494-7211 or stop by their welcome window the fully staffed visitor center at 265 W Ninth Street Ship Bottom.
