LACEY – Township police have put out an alert that a busy roadway will be closed for about 19 hours starting on Thursday, November 4.
According to an announcement on their Facebook page, the police said Manchester Avenue between Lacey Road/Haines Street (Western Boulevard) will be affected starting at 8 a.m. The road will not reopen until 3 a.m. on Friday, November 5.
The announcement said Manchester Avenue will be closed to ALL SOUTHBOUND traffic and that detours will be in place to direct traffic to Route 9 via Haines Street or toward South St, and facilitate a safe passage to Lacey Road.
Additionally, neither Gille Park nor Adams Street will be able to access Manchester Avenue. Businesses on Manchester Avenue, will only be accessible via Veterans Way from Lacey Road.
Any traffic that uses Veterans Way or Adams Street will be re-detoured back to Lacey Road to use Ramp A to access Manchester Avenue Northbound.
