BARNEGAT – During the town’s Santa Run, the Barnegat First Aid Squad responded to a motor vehicle crash with multiple injuries.
After the first ambulance arrived at the scene, it was quickly determined that a second ambulance and the fire company was needed. Ambulance 117 and the chief soon responded with rescue 1103 for assistance.
The victim was swiftly rescued and it was determined that they needed a Medivac and requested to fly. 116 transported the patient to the landing zone established at Southern Ocean Medical Center with medics.
Afterwards, the patient was then transferred to the flight crew of RWJ LifeFlight and flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
