BEACH HAVEN — A fire that broke out above Greenheads Salad Co. on North Bay Avenue left several residents displaced, but no injuries were reported, officials and business owners said.
Multiple fire companies, including Beach Haven and Manahawkin, responded to the blaze at 126 North Bay Avenue, on October 6 where firefighters quickly contained and extinguished the flames. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
In a social media message posted by Greenheads Salad Co., owners expressed gratitude for the swift response of local first responders and the outpouring of community support. “Everyone is okay, and at the end of the day that’s really all that matters,” the post read. “Life’s never easy, but the hard times are a lot easier when you have a great community behind you.”

To help those displaced, Dock and Claw is accepting donations and coordinating assistance for affected families. Community members can call or text 609-332-6781 for information on what to donate.
Country Kettle Fudge is also collecting clothing and essential items for those impacted. Donations can be dropped off daily between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at their store. Items most needed include clean socks, underwear, and durable work clothing for men ages 30 to 50.
“Thank you for showing up for our community—your kindness means everything,” the business said in a statement.
