FORKED RIVER – On May 6, a driver collided with a pole on the facade of the TJ Maxx on Route 9 in Forked River, causing a one-day shutdown of the store, according to Captain Patrick J. Ganley of the Lacey Township Police Department.

According to police, the accident was caused when two vehicles coming from opposite directions in the four-way stop intersection of the parking lot sideswiped each other. The vehicle that crashed into the store was a black SUV and the other, a four-door passenger vehicle.
