LITTLE EGG HARBOR — Local and county authorities are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy found unresponsive at a home on Radio Road, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

Police were called to the residence on October 14 at around 8:50 a.m. after a 911 call reported an emergency involving the child.

Responding officers from the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department found the boy unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause and circumstances of the child’s death remain under investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Detective Bureau, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and the Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office.
