Cops Looking For Info In Death Of Woman Struck By Car

LACEY – A woman was struck and killed Friday afternoon.

Lacey Township Police Sgt. George Resetar said a woman walked into the eastbound lane of Haines Street near the intersection of Oak Hill Court around 7 p.m. Dec. 7.

A car, traveling east on Haines Street, struck the woman, only described as “elderly.”

The woman was taken to Community Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Lanoka Harbor EMS and MONOC Paramedics, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI Unit, and members of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Support Team responded to the scene.

Police did not provide information on the driver.
