Bicyclist Airlifted After Being Hit By Car

  LITTLE EGG HARBOR – A 25-year-old bicyclist had to be airlifted to a local hospital after being hit by a car, police said.

  In the evening of August 12, the Little Egg Harbor Police responded to a report of a bicyclist being struck on Lake Champlain Drive.

  The 25-year-old female resident had been traveling on Lake Champlain Drive towards Twin Lakes Boulevard when she failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with a car, police said. As a result, she was airlifted to Jersey Shore Medical Center for her injuries and her current condition is unknown.

  At this time, summonses have not been issued and the incident is still under investigation.
