BARNEGAT – Township officials will formally celebrate the township’s new municipal complex with a grand opening ceremony on November 21, nearly a year after the building quietly began serving the public.
The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. and will include refreshments, small giveaways, and the unveiling of a dedication plaque.
Although the municipal offices and police headquarters opened in January, the project had been delayed well past its original 2022 target date because of contractor disputes that slowed construction.
Visitors attending the ceremony are asked to use the posted public parking areas. Township officials also cautioned drivers to be alert, as work continues on an overflow lot adjacent to the building.
