LAKEWOOD — Local and County authorities launched an investigation after a woman was discovered dead at a home in the southern section of the township.
The Lakewood Scoop was the first to report that the body was located outside the house, while Lakewood Alerts said the woman was found inside the home. Officials have not clarified any details but confirmed the death is being treated as suspicious.
Investigators are awaiting findings from the Ocean County Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death, Lakewood Alerts reported.
The woman’s identity has not been released.
