SEASIDE HEIGHTS – Two people were hospitalized and a juvenile was rescued after an incident involving the Sky Ride on the borough’s boardwalk, authorities said.
The Seaside Heights Fire Department responded to Sampson Avenue at approximately 8 p.m. on August 31 following a report of a person who had fallen.
Emergency crews arrived to find two patients who had fallen from the Sky Ride’s platform decking. A juvenile remained stranded on the attraction.
Firefighters secured the area and positioned a ladder to reach the juvenile, who was safely brought down and was not injured.
The two injured patients were removed from the area and placed in the care of emergency medical personnel. Both were transported to Community Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. Their conditions were not immediately released.
The Seaside Heights Police Department, Tri-Boro First Aid, Ocean County Communications and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
