Route 35 To Be Closed And Detoured

POINT PLEASANT – Route 35 in Point Pleasant will be closed due to a gas main installation.

  New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) announced that the road will be closed and detoured for northbound traffic and the lane to be shifted for the southbound traffic.

  Construction will begin on February 24 at 7 a.m. for New Jersey Natural Gas to put in a gas main under the New Jersey Transit track. This road work will not be affecting the New Jersey Transit service.

  This change on Route 35 should be occurring for roughly one week.

  The timing of the road work may change due to weather or other factors. Drivers are advised to visit NJDOT’s traffic information website 511nj.org for information.
