Police Remind Drivers It’s Illegal To Park Facing Wrong Direction

  POINT PLEASANT – The Point Pleasant Police Department wants to remind its residents and visitors that it is illegal to park facing in the wrong direction on a two-way street.

  Point Pleasant PD released a statement addressing that the driver of the vehicle must park in the same direction of traffic, on the right-hand side of the road expect for when:

  • If the streets are marked and designated for angle parking.
  • For one-way streets, police may permit a vehicle to be parked parallel on the left-hand side heading in the direction of traffic.
