Ocean County Wins All-Star Tournament

WOODBRIDGE – A team of local players, all 70 and older, won the all-star tournament for the second year in a row.

Team coach John Dowling and manager Blace Kopala, led the Air Concepts Heating And Cooling team through three straight games, beating Middlesex, Union, and Essex/Morris county teams to go undefeated. The tournament was held at William Warren Park in Woodbridge.

The team is an all-star team made up of players aged 70 and older from around the area in the Berkeley Senior Softball League. They have a spring/summer league and a fall league in two age groupings: 55 and up; and 68 and up.
