LAKEWOOD – A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged for selling several illegal drugs, authorities said.
A multi-agency investigation led police to identify a home in Lakewood being used by Dayewon Crockam of Lakewood to store and distribute illegal narcotics.
On September 16, detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant on Crockam’s home and discovered that he would frequent a neighboring home.
After detectives secured consent from the neighbor to search the home, they seized about 2,750 wax folds of heroin/fentanyl, 18 grams of cocaine, a loaded 45 caliber handgun with a laser sight and a drum-style extended magazine, drug paraphernalia, and about $8,100.
Crockam was charged with Possession of more than One-Half Ounce but less than Five Ounces of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of more than One-Half Ounce but less than Five Ounces of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Certain Person Not to Possess a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon During a Controlled Dangerous Substance Offense, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon or Device – specifically a High Capacity Magazine, and Financial Facilitation of Criminal Activity.
Crockam was taken into custody at his home and is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

Billhimer commends the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Asset Forfeiture Unit, Lakewood Township Police Department Patrol Division, Lakewood Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit, Lakewood Township Police Department Special Response Unit, and Lakewood Township Police Department K-9 Unit, for their combined and collective efforts in connection with this investigation leading to Crockam’s apprehension.
The charges referenced are merely accusations and the public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
