Ocean County Authorities: Wanted Contractor Arrested

LITTLE EGG HARBOR – A contractor wanted on theft charges was arrested April 6, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office has reported.

Peter Rinaldi, 56, of Little Egg Harbor, was wanted on charges of second-degree theft by deception and second-degree theft by failure to make required disposition of property received.

Detectives had information that Rinaldi was staying at Baymont Inn in Galloway Township in Atlantic County. They located him near the hotel at 3:30 p.m. Friday. He was arrested and remanded to the Ocean County Jail, awaiting a court date.

Police said Rinaldi, operating under Donovan Mark Custom Builders LLC and Mark Anthony Custom Builders LLC, deposited checks and money into his bank account for work promised, but never provided any materials, supplies or labor. He took approximately $247,224.63 from 12 victims.
