TOMS RIVER — A months-long, multi-agency narcotics investigation in Ocean County led to the arrest of four people and the seizure of cocaine, heroin, prescription drugs, a firearm and approximately $25,000 in cash, authorities said.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that the county’s Narcotics Strike Force worked alongside the FBI Safe Streets Task Force in Red Bank and several local police units in Toms River, Berkeley and Brick to investigate suspected drug distribution activity across the area.

Investigators identified two homes and a hotel room in Toms River, along with a residence in Brick Township, as locations allegedly used to store and distribute illegal drugs. Authorities said Tyrese Lett, 25; Kylah Parks, 28; and Rameek Peace, 38, all of Toms River, along with Kyle Murrin, 39, of Brick Township, were connected to the operation.

On February 19, 2026, law enforcement officers conducted surveillance at the identified properties. Detectives stopped a vehicle in the Lakehurst area driven by Lett, with Parks as a passenger, and took both into custody without incident.

Search warrants were executed on the vehicle and the Toms River hotel room. Authorities reported seizing 49 grams of cocaine, 70 grams of crack cocaine, 16 bricks of heroin, morphine, alprazolam and oxycodone pills, drug packaging materials and roughly $25,000 in cash.

That same day, Peace was arrested near Route 37 after leaving a Toms River residence under investigation. A search of two township homes resulted in the recovery of a Keltec 9mm handgun. Moises Martinez, 36, of Toms River, was found at one of the residences and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He remains held at the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

In Brick Township, officers executed a separate search warrant at Murrin’s residence, where they seized 20 grams of codeine, hydrocodone pills and additional drug paraphernalia. Murrin was charged by summons and is scheduled to appear in Ocean County Superior Court.

Lett and Parks face multiple charges, including possession of large quantities of cocaine and heroin with intent to distribute, conspiracy and financial facilitation. Lett remains jailed pending a detention hearing, while Parks was released under New Jersey’s bail reform guidelines.

Peace was charged with cocaine distribution, possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy and unlawful weapon possession. He remains lodged in the Ocean County Jail.

Prosecutor Billhimer praised the coordinated efforts of federal, county and local law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation.
