  SEASIDE HEIGHTS – A police officer responding to a room fire at a hotel put it out with a fire extinguisher, according to a report by Ocean County Scanner News.

  The fire took place at the Surfside Motel in room 314. When police arrived, they found a couch on fire.

  The officer extinguished the fire as the fire department arrived.

  No injuries were reported.
