OCEAN COUNTY – Friends and colleagues are stepping up to support a longtime emergency medical technician who has spent nearly a decade serving the community and now needs help reaching her goal of becoming a paramedic.

Molly, a dedicated EMT since 2016, has volunteered and worked with multiple EMS agencies throughout Ocean County. Known among fellow first responders for her compassion and work ethic, she has been described as someone who “goes the extra mile” for every patient she treats.

After enrolling in Hudson County Community College’s Paramedic Program in 2023, Molly completed more than a year of coursework, hundreds of hours of clinical and field training, and her capstone patient evaluations. However, a series of personal hardships — including her mother’s cancer diagnosis, her own health issues, and job loss — left her unable to pay the remaining $18,000 in tuition required to complete the program.

“Molly is the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back for anyone in need,” said a close friend organizing the fundraiser. “She’s worked so hard to reach this point, and she deserves the chance to finish what she started.”

Supporters are now asking the community to help Molly cross the finish line by contributing to a fundraiser or sharing her story. Donations will go toward covering the balance owed to Hudson County Community College, allowing her to officially complete the Paramedic Program and continue serving Ocean County residents in the role she’s dreamed of for years.
